Flooring

Don't you just hate having to fill in floors one block at a time? Well I have the solution for you! Get a turtle to do that for you. Just give him fuel and blocks and set him free! Here you go:

-- Clearing Terminal
term.clear()
term.setCursorPos(1,1)

-- Setting up Variables
local tArgs = { ... }
local fuel = 1

if #tArgs ~= 1 then
    -- Missing Height Argument
    print("Usage: Floor <area>")
    print("Slot 1: Fuel")
    print("Slot 2-16: Blocks")
    error()
end

local area = tArgs[1]

-- Fuel Checking Function
function tFuel(f)
    if turtle.getFuelLevel() < 10 then
        turtle.select(f)
        if not turtle.refuel(1) then
            print("Need Fuel")
            while turtle.getItemCount(f) < 2 do sleep(0.5) end
        end
    end
end

function place()
    if not turtle.detectDown() then
        for s = 2, 16 do
            if turtle.getItemCount(s) ~= 0 then
                turtle.select(s)
                break
            end
        end
        turtle.placeDown()
    end
end

print("Starting floor of " .. area .. " square blocks")

for gone = 1, area do
    for gtwo = 1, area do
        tFuel(fuel)
        turtle.forward()
        place()
    end
    turtle.forward()
    if( gone % 2) == 0 then
        turtle.turnRight()
        turtle.forward()
        turtle.turnRight()
    else
        turtle.turnLeft()
        turtle.forward()
        turtle.turnLeft()
    end
end

Zipper towers and SMP

So, I really thought this was gonna be a great idea and really easy to do, but after spending a LONG time working on it, seems that zipper towers don't work on a server?
I didn't find a good tutorial for the build till I was already halfway through with the process, even though I was doing it all wrong.
Eventually I found the right tutorial and figured out I had to start over. Even in the end I'm not sure I did it right. It looks like it should work, so either I did it right and it just won't work on SMP or I did it wrong and I have no idea where I messed up.
If you want to see the tutorial, you can find it here.

Melon Time!

So, I finally got a new video up. Sorry it took so long, but I don't get a ton of time alone to record, however my schedule at work just changed which will allow me free time daily to record more often. In this episode of Mining with Munchmo I explore the world in search of an abandoned mineshaft so I can get some melon seeds to setup an automated melon farm. I won't go into a ton of detail, but it turns out my server was running on easy, so I kinda got screwed by the poison spider experience. I have since turned the difficulty up to hard, so in the future I'm sure to get poisoned.
I did come across a couple of dungeons as well, which I lit up, but did not destroy the spawner, so I might try to use those (or at least one of them) to make a dungeon grinder or maybe just a single mob farm. I would just have been happier if they had been skeletons instead of zombies.
In the video I made reference to Zombles, which I've picked up by watching Kurt J Mac's videos, and for those of you unfamiliar with him, check out his channel on youtube.
I also noticed the last couple videos I uploaded had black borders and I couldn't understand why, but I finally fixed that so this video should be sized right.
